Perched on a hilltop above Silver Lake, the Paramour Estate is one of Los Angeles most cinematic wedding settings — a 1923 Spanish Mediterranean mansion of hand-painted ceilings, a mosaic-tiled pool, terraced rose gardens, and sweeping skyline views. As a Los Angeles wedding photographer, I love how the estate gives you a grand ballroom and lush garden light in the same afternoon.

A 1923 landmark above the city

Originally built for heiress Daisy Canfield and now a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Landmark, the Paramour spreads across roughly 22,000 square feet of restored rooms, fountains, arbors, and orchard. The architecture does half the work: warm plaster walls, arched windows, and painted ceilings that photograph beautifully in soft afternoon light.

How we photograph a Paramour wedding

We build the day around the estate best light — portraits in the rose gardens and by the terraced fountains at golden hour, a first look near the mosaic pool, and candid coverage in the ballroom once the sun drops and the chandeliers take over. The hilltop skyline makes an unforgettable backdrop for the end of the night.

Planning tip
