Hiring a photographer who lives somewhere else is mostly a question of risk. A local vendor knows the venue; someone flying in does not. What you get in exchange is a team you actually chose, whose work you have seen end to end, rather than whoever was available in a city you have visited twice.
We manage the risk the way any working crew does. We arrive the day before, never the morning of. We scout the site in the same light your ceremony will happen in. Equipment travels as carry-on rather than checked baggage, with duplicates of anything that would end the day if it failed. None of that is glamorous and all of it is why nothing gets missed.
Travel across Southern California is already included in our collections. Anything further — Las Vegas, Arizona, the coast, or further afield — is quoted individually and transparently, so travel appears as one honest line rather than a surprise at the end.

Before you ask.
Where do you travel?
Anywhere you are getting married. Most of our travel is the Southwest — Las Vegas, Arizona, the California coast — but we quote further destinations on request.
How is travel charged?
Travel across Southern California is included in our collections. Beyond that we quote it individually and itemize it, so you can see exactly what it is rather than finding it folded into a package price.
When do you arrive?
The day before, always. Arriving on the wedding morning means a delayed flight becomes your problem, and it means nobody has seen the venue in real light before the day starts.
Do you know the venue if you have not shot there?
Not the way a local would, which is why we scout it the day before at the same hour your ceremony will run. We would rather spend an afternoon walking the site than guess from photographs.
