Engagement sessions,
on photo and film.
The best rehearsal there is. You get used to the cameras, we get used to you — months before it counts. Photography, film, or both, for one price, with no clock running.
The one rehearsal nobody schedules.
You will spend more time in front of our cameras on your wedding day than you have in front of any camera in years. An engagement session is the only chance to practise that.
Couples come to us saying they're not photogenic, that they don't know what to do with their hands, that one of them hates being photographed. All of that is true on the first ten minutes of a session and none of it is true by the last ten. That's the point.
It also does something quieter: we learn how you two actually are together — who leans in, who laughs first, who needs a second — so on the wedding day we're not guessing. We've already met you.
Stills, motion, or both in one evening.
Every engagement session is $747 whichever you choose — the difference is who shows up and what lands in your gallery.

Photographed like the wedding day
Digital and 35mm film, side by side. One photographer who works the way we work on a wedding day — close, quiet, unhurried — so the pictures you get back look like the ones you'll get back in a year.
- Digital plus optional 35mm film frames
- Locations of your choosing
- As many outfit changes as you like
- Fully edited high-resolution gallery
- Personal print rights, no watermarks

A short film, not a highlight reel
The same cameras and the same crew that shoot our weddings. We record sound, we let you talk, and you end up with a two-to-three minute piece you'll actually send to your parents — plus clips short enough to post.
- Cinematic coverage on RED and Super 8mm
- Live audio, not just music over b-roll
- A 2–3 minute edited film
- Vertical cutdowns for social
- Delivered in the same gallery as the photos

One session, two artists
A photographer and a filmmaker on the same evening, working around each other the way they will on the wedding day. This is the version most couples book — and the version that tells us the most about how to shoot you in ten months.
- Photographer and filmmaker together
- Stills and motion from the same moments
- No extra time added to the session
- One gallery, delivered together
- The best possible rehearsal for the day
What an engagement film looks like.
A proposal in Los Angeles, filmed as it happened and then turned straight into a session. This is the storytelling edit — live sound, no music video, nothing staged twice.
Twelve evenings, twelve places.
Cliffs, tide pools, loading docks, a trail in Griffith Park. We pick locations by what they look like at the hour we'd shoot them — not by how many times they've been tagged.

One price, whichever way you shoot it.
No packages to decode. The session costs the same whether you book a photographer, a filmmaker, or both — and it costs less if it's riding along with your wedding collection.
On its own
Book a session without booking a wedding — for an engagement, an anniversary, or simply because you've never been photographed properly together.
- Locations of your choosing
- As many outfit changes as you like
- Photography, film, or both
- No time limit — we shoot until we have it
- Fully edited high-resolution gallery
- Personal print rights, no watermarks
With your wedding
The version we'd argue for. Everything above, folded into the collection you've already booked, with your session images delivered alongside your wedding gallery.
- Everything in the standalone session
- The same artists as your wedding day
- One gallery, delivered together
- Rehearsal dinners, welcome parties and next-day brunches also covered, $747
No travel limitation — we shoot across Southern California constantly and we'll go further if you're already going. Permits, where a location needs one, are handled by us.
Four steps, no homework.
Tell us the date
Send us your wedding date and where you're thinking. We'll tell you honestly whether a session is worth it for you.
Pick the light, not the landmark
We'll help you choose a location by what it looks like at the hour we'd shoot it — and we'll handle the permit question.
Shoot it
No stopwatch. We shoot until we have it, through as many outfits and locations as you want to move through.
Get it back
A fully edited high-resolution gallery with personal print rights, plus your film if you booked one.
Pick the light, not the landmark.
The best engagement locations aren't the famous ones — they're the ones that do something specific in the forty minutes we'd be standing in them.
Los Angeles & the coast
Sixty-five locations we actually shoot, sorted by what they look like rather than how famous they are — plus which ones need a permit.
Somewhere else entirely
Big Sur, Joshua Tree, Santorini, Kyoto. If you're already travelling, we'll meet you there and shoot it properly.
Before the question
If you haven't asked yet, we can hide, catch the moment, and turn straight into a session while the shock is still on both your faces.
The things couples ask us first.
Still unsure? Send us the date and we'll tell you honestly whether a session is worth it for you — including when it isn't.
Ask us anythingDo we really need an engagement session?
Not everyone does. But almost every couple who books one tells us the wedding day felt easier because of it. You learn what you look like in front of our cameras, we learn how you two actually are with each other, and by the time the day arrives nobody is meeting for the first time.
It is, put plainly, the best rehearsal there is.
How long is the session?
There's no time limit. We shoot until we have it. Most sessions land somewhere between an hour and an evening, depending on how many locations and outfit changes you want to move through.
What does it cost?
$747 on its own, or $497 when you add it to any wedding collection. That covers photography, film, or both — the price doesn't change based on which you pick. Full pricing lives on our rates page.
Can we change outfits?
As many times as you like. Bring the outfit you're comfortable in and the one you've been waiting for an excuse to wear. We'll build the locations around them.
Do we need a permit?
Sometimes. Some parks and beaches in Los Angeles require one, some don't, and a few will quietly ask you to leave if you don't have it. We wrote up what needs a permit and what doesn't, and we'll handle the paperwork for the ones that do.
How soon do we get the photos?
Fast enough to use them. Galleries are fully edited and high resolution, delivered with personal print rights and no watermarks — ready for save-the-dates, a wedding website, or a print on the wall.
Can you travel for it?
Yes, and there's no travel limitation. We shoot across Southern California constantly, and we've taken sessions further — see destination engagement sessions.
What about the rehearsal dinner or the day after?
We cover those too. The rehearsal dinner, the welcome party, the next-day brunch — $747 on its own, with the same artists as your wedding day and one gallery delivered alongside your wedding images.
Get used to the camera before it matters.
Tell us your wedding date and where you're thinking. We'll come back with real availability, honest advice about whether a session is worth it, and a couple of locations we'd actually pick for you.
