Our Favorite Los Angeles Wedding Vendors
The planners, florists, DJs, bakers and officiants we work with again and again across Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and Santa Barbara.
After more than 2,300 weddings, we have a fairly clear picture of which Los Angeles wedding vendors make a day run beautifully and which ones make it hard work. The list below is the short one: every company here has worked alongside us on multiple weddings, communicates properly with the rest of the vendor team, and has consistently looked after our couples.
We review it every year. If a vendor stops being someone we would book for our own family, they come off.
No referral fees, ever. We do not receive compensation of any kind for the recommendations on this page, and none of these links are paid or sponsored. Looking for a venue instead? See our favorite wedding venues.
Wedding Planners & Coordinators
The single biggest predictor of a calm wedding day. Every planner below has run multiple weddings with us across Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and Santa Barbara.
3 Little Birds Event Planning
A husband-and-wife team, Jessica and Dustin Rolph, running full wedding planning, month-of and day-of coordination out of Burbank — with their own rental inventory in house.
Why we love them
They send the full vendor timeline weeks ahead and again the week of, so everyone walks in already knowing the plan. Having rentals under the same roof means fewer trucks, fewer contacts and fewer things to go wrong on the day.

Dream Co. Weddings & Events
A bench of certified lead planners led by Dr. Lauren Doll, covering everything from day-of coordination to all-inclusive planning. We first worked together in November 2021, when the same team traded as Events Made Easy, and have shared eight weddings since — Spanish Hills Club, a Topanga Canyon estate, and a Santa Monica beach ceremony that shuttled its guests to an arcade bar for the reception.
Why we love them
Their planners send the full timeline and floor plan to the whole vendor team weeks ahead, then again the week of, so our photo and video crews turn up already knowing the shape of the day. And they stay reachable when it counts: on one beach ceremony morning their lead planner re-routed our drop-off point by message before the crew had even left, which is the difference between starting on time and starting flustered. They also bring couples to us with the budget and the hours already discussed, which saves everyone a round of guessing.
15% off for our couplesMention Lulan Studio when you enquire and they will take 15% off. We receive nothing for this.
Ampersand Weddings & Events
Karen Waldron's studio plans, designs and produces bespoke weddings across Malibu, Santa Barbara, the Santa Ynez Valley and the Central Coast.
Why we love them
Karen runs a genuinely luxury-level production — revised timelines circulated to every vendor, insurance and load-in sorted long before the week of. We have been photographing her couples since 2023 and have never once been surprised on a wedding day.

Love and Life Events
Founded in 2018 by Chiell Ordonez, offering full-service planning, partial planning and wedding-day management, with a stated specialty in Asian-American, Filipino, Western and blended-culture celebrations.
Why we love them
Bicultural wedding days are the hardest ones to build a timeline for — two ceremonies, two families, two sets of expectations. They plan them without letting the schedule squeeze out the moments that actually matter.

CrystalRose Events
Crystal Lee's team offers full, partial and day-of coordination with coordinators available in Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Spanish and Vietnamese, and always staffs two coordinators per event.
Why we love them
Bilingual coordination changes the feel of a wedding day. Parents and grandparents get spoken to directly instead of through the couple, and nobody spends the reception translating.

XOXO Weddings
Founded in 2013 by Kaci Johnson, with a team of lead coordinators covering Southern California plus Reno & Tahoe, the Midwest and Hawaii.
Why we love them
Bench depth. If your wedding moves, grows or turns into a destination weekend, there is usually already a team on the ground where you are going.

Creative Happens
An LGBTQ+-owned planning and events company working across Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Palm Springs, with in-house photo booths, dessert stations and decor rentals.
Why we love them
Every wedding is assigned a backup coordinator from the start. It is a small policy that says everything about how they think about your day.

Tricia Dahlgren Events
Tricia and a team of five event managers handle full-service planning and day-of coordination across Southern California, from Santa Clarita out to Malibu.
Why we love them
Calm is the word. They keep a day moving without ever making it feel rushed, and they bring photography and video into the timeline conversation early rather than handing it over on the morning of.

Calmerin Designs and Events
A family-owned team covering all of California, working weddings from ten to five hundred guests across day-of coordination, partial planning and full-service planning with in-house styling and design.
Why we love them
Their on-site leads send the timeline early and ask us for the photo and video shot list themselves rather than waiting to be chased. Design and logistics sit with the same people, so the room looks the way it was drawn.
Cluster Events
Morgan and Frankie bring more than a decade of event experience to boutique full-service planning, vendor curation and design across Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and Palm Springs.
Why we love them
Genuinely design-led. Their own line is that a unique event needs extra creativity rather than extra expenditure, and their weddings back it up — the ideas are the budget.
Events Boutique LA
Rita Kealey has been producing tastefully luxurious celebrations for over fifteen years — weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, galas, brand launches and red-carpet premieres.
Why we love them
They run large, multi-part events with a lot of moving pieces and still keep the room feeling relaxed. Guests never see the machinery, which is exactly the point.

Velvet Alley Events
Soltana Mulhearn's team offers full, partial and month-of coordination, blending classic style with a contemporary edge across four counties.
Why we love them
Soltana builds a master timeline with a separate tab for every vendor, walks the rehearsal herself, and calls the moment anything changes. That level of communication is rare, and it shows in the photographs.
Events by Dawnee
Dawnee Pitzer has fifteen years of planning behind her, handling events from twenty to five hundred guests, with an in-house stationery department and her own rental inventory.
Why we love them
She will negotiate the venue contract with you before you sign it — which is the single most valuable thing a planner can do, and almost nobody offers it.

Wedding Florists
Flowers are the one thing on your wedding day built entirely to be looked at — and photographed.
Love Note Events
Terri Yang's studio designs organic, whimsical, garden-style florals — bouquets and centrepieces through to large-scale ceremony and reception installations.
Why we love them
Her arrangements photograph beautifully. Loose, textural, real garden flowers that catch light instead of flattening under it, and she builds installations that still read from across a ballroom.

Wedding DJs, Music & Entertainment
A reception lives or dies on the person holding the microphone. These are the DJs, MCs and performers we are always glad to see on a vendor list.
Bouquet Sound
A multi-DJ company covering Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange County, Santa Barbara, San Diego and the Inland Empire, with MC services, uplighting, silent disco and photo booths alongside the music.
Why we love them
They read a room properly — the floor fills and stays full. Their MC also gives us a heads-up before every major moment, which is the difference between catching a first dance and catching the end of one.

Vox DJs
Twenty years in, with DJ and MC services, a dedicated live-music arm, in-house lighting and AV, and their own internal training academy for the DJs they put on your wedding.
Why we love them
Consistency. Whichever DJ ends up on your date has been trained to the same standard, which is not something most large companies can honestly claim.

Second Song
A wedding-focused DJ and MC company founded in 2019 with a public, named roster you can browse and choose from, plus live saxophone, violin and percussion add-ons, uplighting and special effects.
Why we love them
You pick your DJ instead of being assigned one. Layering a live sax or violin over the DJ set is also the cheapest way we know to make a reception feel like a live show.

Unifier Entertainment
Specialty live entertainment rather than a DJ company — aerialists, contortionists, stilt walkers, fire performers, living statues and aerial bartenders, plus musicians, DJs and MCs, with custom costuming built in house.
Why we love them
For couples who want one moment guests are still describing a year later. Because they build the costumes and rigging themselves, the act can be designed around your room rather than dropped into it.
Photo Booths & Guest Experiences
What your guests take home. We book one of these companies ourselves for our own photo-booth add-on.
Capture Entertainment
Open-air photo booths, 360 video booths, drop-off selfie booths, flower walls and neon signs, serving Los Angeles and Orange County since 2014 across a thousand-plus events.
Why we love them
We book them ourselves for our own photo-booth add-on, which is the strongest recommendation we can give anyone. Attendants arrive early and Ernesto confirms the on-site contact before every single event.
Glow Photo Booth
A woman-owned booth company running since 2017, with open-air booths that fit eight to twelve people, on-site prints, custom print design and flower-wall or sequin backdrops.
Why we love them
Prints in guests' hands within seconds, and their backdrops are chosen to match the design of the room rather than fighting it. Their booth line is often the second-best party at the reception.
Wedding Cakes & Desserts
Two Southern California bakeries we send couples to, at opposite ends of the scale.
SusieCakes
Founded in Brentwood in 2006 by Susie Sarich, baking American classics from scratch daily. Custom tiered wedding cakes with in-person tastings at most bakeries, or a tasting kit mailed to you.
Why we love them
It is the cake guests actually finish. Buttercream, familiar flavors, nothing architectural for its own sake — and the mail-order tasting kit makes choosing genuinely easy. Order at least two weeks ahead.
Half Baked Co
A Burbank storefront bakery making custom wedding cakes, cupcakes and dessert tables, with vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free and tree-nut-free options handled in house.
Why we love them
A small shop that will actually build the odd, specific cake you sketched on a napkin — and one of the few places that can feed a mixed-dietary guest list without a separate sad table in the corner.

Wedding Officiants
The voice that carries your ceremony — and, if you need it, the marriage license too.
Great Officiants
Founded in 2003 with more than thirty officiants on the roster — priests, rabbis, ministers, interfaith, civil and non-religious, plus South Asian, Filipino, Chinese, Japanese and bilingual ceremonies. They keep county-clerk notaries on staff.
Why we love them
They can issue and deliver your marriage license as well as perform the ceremony, so the paperwork and the vows come from one place. For an interfaith or bilingual ceremony, the range of their roster is hard to match.

Hair, makeup and a few more florists
Those are the two categories we deliberately have not filled here yet — we would rather send you one name we trust than a list we cannot stand behind. Tell us your date, your venue and your style and we will introduce you to the right people directly.
