Most sessions run 60–90 minutes at one or two nearby spots, delivering a full edited gallery — not a handful of selects.

Can we bring our dog to the engagement session?

Please do. Bring a leash, treats, and a friend who can dog-wrangle between shots.

Is an engagement session included with wedding collections?

It can be added to any collection or booked on its own — couples who book photography and video together usually add it at a reduced rate. Exact numbers are confirmed on your first call.

What if we are awkward in front of a camera?

Whether it is a multi-generational family session, active kids who will not sit still, or the family dog joining the shoot, our team builds the session around your family instead of the other way around — the same magazine-quality editing and cinematic eye we bring to weddings, applied to the people you love most.

Uniquely decorated sets. We keep several contemporary and vintage studio setups on hand, so your session has a backdrop that fits your family’s style, not a single generic backdrop.
One family per day. We only book one session per day, which means unhurried time, full attention, and no other families passing through your shoot.
Magazine-quality editing. Every delivered image goes through the same refined, editorial-level editing process we use for our wedding galleries.

Family Portrait Studio FAQ

How long is a family portrait session? Full Digital Sessions run 1 hour; Signature and Signature+ sessions run 2 hours, which is typically enough time for outfit changes and a mix of full-family and smaller group combinations.

What should we wear? Coordinate tones instead of matching outfits exactly, and bring a backup outfit if your session includes a change — our team can advise on colors that work well with our studio sets during your booking call.

How far ahead should we book? Most of our portrait sessions are booked three to four months in advance, so we recommend reaching out as soon as you have a date in mind.

Can we include multiple generations or pets? Yes. Multi-generational family sessions and sessions with pets are welcome — let us know who is joining so we can plan timing and posing accordingly.
