About Little Church of the West

Little Church of the West — 4617 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89119Built in 1943, Little Church of the West is the oldest building on the Las Vegas Strip and the only Strip structure listed on the National Register of Historic Places. As Las Vegas wedding photographers, we love its genuinely historic Gothic Revival architecture, mature landscaped grounds, and celebrity pedigree — the freestanding, redwood-and-cedar chapel has been relocated three times to survive Strip redevelopment and appeared in Elvis Presley’s 1964 film “Viva Las Vegas.”

Pros

  • The only building on the Las Vegas Strip listed on the National Register of Historic Places, giving real “old Vegas” architectural authenticity.

  • An indoor Chapel or outdoor Garden, plus off-site Las Vegas Sign and Harley-Davidson locations, for very different looks in one booking.

  • Six package tiers suit both intimate elopements and larger family ceremonies.

Getting Ready at Little Church of the West

A dedicated getting-ready suite is offered as a paid add-on rather than a complimentary amenity. We recommend confirming current suite options and timing directly with the chapel ahead of your day.

The historic Chapel itself, with original 1940s pews and Victorian-era lamps, and the mature landscaped Garden are favorite portrait backdrops, with an off-site option at the nearby Las Vegas Sign for couples who want a classic postcard shot.

Wedding Reception

Little Church of the West focuses on intimate ceremonies rather than large receptions, so most couples host their reception dinner or party at a nearby Las Vegas Strip resort.
