What is the difference between principal and secondary sponsors?

Principal sponsors, the ninong and ninang, are older witnesses who stand as godparents to the marriage. Secondary sponsors are usually younger friends or siblings who perform the candle, veil and cord.

Why are there thirteen coins in the arrhae?

The arrhae are most often explained as Christ and the twelve apostles, or as one coin for each month of the year with a thirteenth to give away. They stand for provision and shared trust.

The cord laid over the couple in a figure of eight. It can be a decorative rope, a silk cord or an oversized rosary, and on its side it reads as the symbol of infinity.

How long do the candle, veil and cord rites take?

Roughly eight to twelve minutes inside the Mass, performed one after another after the vows and rings and before the final blessing.

Can Filipino and Mexican Catholic customs be combined?

Usually yes. The lazo and the arras do almost exactly what the cord and coins do, so most officiants will reconcile them into one ceremony rather than run both.

Will the church allow photography during these rites?

Almost always, with conditions such as no flash and no entering the sanctuary or centre aisle. We ask the parish before the Mass and work within what they set.

Is RED included in every wedding film collection?

Every collection includes professional multi-camera cinema coverage as standard. RED is available as an upgrade — ask about adding it to your collection when you check your date.

How is RED different from your standard cinema cameras?

RED sensors capture more dynamic range and detail than standard cinema cameras, holding highlight and shadow detail in the same frame and giving our colorists room to build a true cinematic grade rather than a one-click filter.

Why does a global shutter matter at a wedding?

Most cameras expose an image line by line, which skews fast movement and bands under flash photography. The KOMODO exposes the entire frame at once, so a quick pan across the dance floor, a drone pass or a room full of firing flashes all record cleanly.

How long until we receive our wedding film?

8–12 weeks after your wedding, with sneak peeks available on request.

Do you film RED weddings outside Los Angeles?

We regularly film in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and Las Vegas without travel fees. Santa Barbara and other West Coast destinations are quoted with travel.
