Mission San Gabriel Arcángel is California’s fourth Spanish mission, founded in 1771 and known as the “Godmother of Los Angeles,” with distinctive capped buttresses, a six-bell campanario and historic gardens. It was beautifully restored and reopened in 2023. Couples love marrying inside a living piece of California history — the weathered stone, bells and gardens deliver a timeless, sacred atmosphere no modern venue can replicate.

It is ceremony-only, so the reception must be booked elsewhere. Sacramental prep is required; couples are advised to start about a year ahead. Exterior photography may need a permit and time is limited between Masses.
