Rancho Las Lomas
A Spanish colonial hacienda estate — and private zoological garden — tucked into the Orange County foothills, where Lulan Studio has photographed weddings for a run of different planners nearly every year since 2023.
A hacienda estate with its own zoological garden
Rancho Las Lomas is a private estate in the Orange County foothills built around Spanish colonial architecture — hand-painted Portuguese tilework, terracotta-tiled pathways, white-washed stucco, orange groves, and stone fountains beneath mature oaks. Exclusively catered in-house by 24 Carrots Catering & Events, the property hosts only one wedding per day. Distinctively, it also operates as a private zoological garden, home to zebras, a tiger, and a cockatoo named Fiji — with the zebras often visible near El Teatro during cocktail hour.

Five weddings and counting
We’ve photographed weddings at Rancho Las Lomas coordinated by a rotating cast of independent planners nearly every year since 2023 — 3 Little Birds Event Planning & Rentals, Cortney Helaine Events, Monge Amore Events, Lisa Simpson-Wedding Celebrations, and Love and Life Events, with another wedding already booked for summer 2026. As we described the property to a prospective couple: its "lush grounds and Spanish-style architecture" lend themselves to "gorgeous candid and documentary moments." One planner’s note after a recent wedding summed up the day: "The couple was so happy with how everything turned out and we couldn’t have asked for a better team to bring their day to life."
