Vibiana Wedding Photographer
A lovingly restored 1876 cathedral in the heart of DTLA — one of Los Angeles' most romantic and photogenic wedding venues.
Getting married at Vibiana
Once the Cathedral of St. Vibiana and now one of Downtown LA's most sought-after event spaces, Vibiana pairs soaring 19th-century architecture with a relaxed, art-forward sensibility. Arched windows, exposed brick, a vaulted main hall and a walled garden give couples a rare mix of grandeur and intimacy — all a few blocks from the heart of the city.
Capacity · Up to 550 guests seated (300 for an outdoor courtyard ceremony)
Catering · In-house only, by the venue's acclaimed on-site restaurant Redbird — virtually any cuisine
Budget · Premium; priced on food & beverage minimums plus a room fee (commonly $45k–$60k+ all-in)
Best for · Editorial, architectural and romantic celebrations of roughly 100–300 guests
Good to know · A pro coordinator is required; no rice, confetti, sparklers or glitter

The spaces
The Main Hall — the former cathedral nave — is the showpiece: tall windows, dramatic ceilings and abundant natural light for the ceremony or a seated dinner. The walled Courtyard and Redbird Garden are perfect for an outdoor ceremony or cocktail hour, and five private rooms in the adjacent rectory host smaller gatherings, rehearsal dinners or a getting-ready suite.
Ceremony & reception flow
Most couples exchange vows in the main hall or the courtyard, move to Redbird Garden for cocktails, then return to the hall for dinner and dancing. Because ceremony, cocktails and reception all live on one property, the day flows easily and your timeline stays relaxed.

What couples love — and a few things to know
Couples consistently praise the breathtaking architecture, the flexibility of having several distinct spaces on one site, and the exceptional food and hospitality from the Redbird team. The most common things to plan around: it's a premium price point, a coordinator is required, and downtown parking is valet or paid — all easy to manage with a little planning.
Photographing Vibiana
As a Los Angeles wedding photographer, Vibiana is a dream: warm window light in the hall, textured brick and marble hallways for portraits, a gold mosaic-tiled alcove, and the leafy garden for golden hour — all within steps of each other. It suits both timeless and moody-editorial editing beautifully.
