On top of a mountain, the Oakridge Farmhouse provides not only gorgeous views, but a cute rustic and homey atmosphere. With the white barn and wheat fields, we loved the farmstyle photos that came from this venue. Definitely great for the simple, outdoor-loving couple.

What Makes Oakridge Farmhouse Photograph So Well
Oakridge Farmhouse sits in the countryside outside Murrieta - a whitewashed farmhouse with gabled roofs and a wraparound porch, surrounded by gardens, weathered fences, and rolling hills. It photographs the way rustic venues are supposed to feel but rarely do: genuinely lived-in, with texture that isn't staged.
The spaces we plan portraits around
- The grand barn - exposed wooden beams and vintage chandeliers give receptions warmth and scale; we shoot the dance floor wide to keep those beams in frame.
- The wraparound porch - a natural stage for first looks and quiet portraits, with the countryside rolling out behind the railing.
- The gardens and fence lines - rose beds, gazebos, and weathered wood make unhurried portrait walks easy, and the hills behind the property carry golden-hour wide shots.
Timeline advice for Oakridge Farmhouse
Inland-valley sun is strong at midday, so we lean on porch and garden shade for afternoon portraits and save the open hillsides for the last hour of light, when the grass goes amber. Barn receptions run dim and warm - beautiful for atmosphere - so we schedule key moments like toasts and cake while ambient light still helps, then match our lighting to the chandeliers for the dance floor.
