A 55-acre private estate in North San Diego County’s Fallbrook, where a spring-fed lake and an oak-shaded meadow give couples two very different ceremony backdrops on one property.
A private, single-event lake estate in Fallbrook
Los Willows sits on roughly 55 acres of rolling hills about fifty miles north of downtown San Diego, booking only one wedding a day so the grounds are exclusive to a single couple. Ceremonies happen either in an oak-shaded meadow or on a lakefront lawn, where a signature “bridal boat” carries the couple across the property’s spring-fed lake. The reception pavilion, recently renovated with retractable glass siding, a Swarovski crystal chandelier, and a built-in dance floor, overlooks the water and flexes between fully open-air and fully enclosed depending on weather.
Private dressing suites and a bridal salon open about two hours before the ceremony, and an on-site hilltop villa sleeps up to sixteen for couples who want to stay the night. The venue’s own FAQ notes that ceremonies from November through February must start no later than 3pm, since the canyon setting loses direct light early in the winter months.

We’ve photographed multiple weddings at Los Willows, working directly with the venue’s own coordinators — Jennifer Salinas and Meghan Pymm are two names we’ve worked with more than once. One thing worth planning around: the venue’s default timeline can leave a surprisingly tight getting-ready window, so we confirm bride and groom prep coverage with the coordinator well before the day. The grand exit is a staged, expected finale here, and we build our coverage end time around capturing it rather than wrapping early.

- Standard package is 7 hours of venue access (2 hours private prep + 5 hours event)
- All outside vendors are permitted except catering and DJ, which are in-house/exclusive
- Music and the venue must close by 10pm (San Diego County outdoor event regulation)
