Hyatt Centric Delfina Santa Monica
A boutique beach-city hotel near the Santa Monica Pier, formerly known as Le Méridien Delfina Santa Monica — home to a wedding we photographed complete with live ceremony livestream, from getting-ready through a candlelit reception.
A rebranded beach hotel with a rooftop ballroom
This Pico Boulevard hotel operated as Le Méridien Delfina Santa Monica for years before being reflagged as Hyatt Centric Delfina Santa Monica in September 2024, followed by a reported $16 million renovation. The property's signature space is a rooftop penthouse ballroom with panoramic windows facing the Pacific and the Santa Monica Mountains, paired with an outdoor garden courtyard for ceremonies. It's a short walk to the beach, the pier, and the Third Street Promenade.
If you booked or are researching this venue under its former name, you're in the right place — same building, same team, new name.

A wedding from prep to candlelight
We photographed and livestreamed a full wedding at this hotel — while it was still known as Le Méridien Delfina — with coverage running from late morning through the evening reception. A pre-wedding walkthrough with the hotel's event team let us plan the day around the rooftop ballroom's window light, and the in-house WiFi carried our live ceremony stream to guests who couldn't be there in person. Valet is the standard way in for vendors and guests alike, and the hotel handled parking for our planning visit at no charge.

What couples and guests notice about Hyatt Centric Delfina Santa Monica
Panoramic ocean and skyline windows on the 9th-floor ballroom give both daylight and after-dark receptions a striking, built-in backdrop.
Walking distance to the beach, the pier, and Third Street Promenade means portrait options beyond the hotel itself without much travel time.
On-site outdoor photo locations are limited beyond the ballroom and courtyard — plan beach or village portraits into your timeline in advance.
