Hyatt Regency Orange County
A 655-room resort tower in Garden Grove built for scale — a 17,010 sq ft ballroom, a poolside reception option, and five minutes from Disneyland for out-of-town guests.
A resort scaled for very large celebrations
Hyatt Regency Orange County is a 655-room, 17-story atrium tower built in 1986 and renovated in 2021, with a Grand Ballroom large enough — 17,010 square feet, divisible into seven sections — to hold wedding receptions well over a thousand guests. The Garden Rooms bring in floor-to-ceiling windows opening onto a private patio for an indoor-outdoor option, and the North Tower Pool deck adds a genuine poolside reception space most hotel ballrooms don’t offer.
The hotel has particular depth hosting South Asian, Chinese, and Persian multi-day wedding celebrations, and sits about 1.4 miles from Disneyland with a paid shuttle — a real convenience for couples flying in guests from out of town.

A ballroom wedding, planned with Modest Magnolia
We photographed a spring wedding at Hyatt Regency Orange County coordinated by Maria Tran of Modest Magnolia, a planning company we’ve now worked with across several venues. It was a full 12pm-to-10pm coverage day with our full crew on site — the kind of scale this hotel is built for, with high ceilings and chandeliers that photograph well even as the ballroom fills with a large guest list.
