About the venue

Old Hollywood glamour in the heart of Downtown LA

Opened in 1923 as the largest hotel west of Chicago, The Biltmore Los Angeles (still widely known by its historic name, the Millennium Biltmore Hotel) is a Spanish-Italian Renaissance Revival landmark spanning half a city block. Ceiling murals hand-painted by Italian artist Giovanni Smeraldi, crystal chandeliers, marble columns, and cast bronze stairwells run throughout the building, which is designated a Los Angeles Historical-Cultural Monument and a member of Historic Hotels of America. Its Crystal Ballroom hosted the founding banquet of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 1927.

Five ballrooms and nine mezzanine breakout rooms give couples a range of settings, from the intimate, wood-paneled Gold Room to the soaring Crystal Ballroom.

Lulan Studio at The Biltmore Los Angeles

A long-standing preferred photography partner

Lulan Studio has been on The Biltmore Los Angeles’s official preferred vendor list for years, and was named the venue’s featured photography partner in its official Wedding Planning Guide. Our team has photographed weddings that used the hotel for getting-ready coverage and portraits, and in spring 2026 our General Manager and lead photographer personally photographed and filmed the venue’s own Wedding Planner Appreciation event in the Crystal Ballroom. We know the building’s light, its architecture, and its team well.

What people say

What couples and guests notice about The Biltmore Los Angeles

The architecture

Hand-painted ceiling murals, crystal chandeliers, and carved marble columns give every room a ready-made backdrop with real Old Hollywood history behind it.

The variety

Five ballrooms and nine breakout rooms mean couples can pick a scale and mood, from an intimate ceremony to a several-hundred-guest reception.

The trade-off

Interiors run warm and comparatively dim by design; couples who want bright, airy portraits should plan time near a window or step outside to Pershing Square.
