How We Plan Your Wedding Day Getting Ready Session

Curious about how to plan the getting ready session for your wedding day? In this video, we guide you through our process to ensure every detail and precious moment is beautifully captured. For a typical getting-ready session with a wedding party, we recommend about three hours of coverage to capture everything without feeling rushed.

We start with detailed shots of items like the dress, shoes, rings, bouquet, and invitations, so be sure to gather these together for easy access. Once details are photographed, we move on to fun robe shots, final makeup touches, and beautiful portraits of the bride and bridesmaids, all timed to ensure everyone is picture-perfect. We also capture important family moments, group shots, and editorial-style portraits for the bride, giving each moment its own time to shine.

For the groom’s side, if the same photographer is covering both getting-ready sessions, we’ll allocate time to capture all the essentials, including candid shots of the groom and groomsmen as they prepare. With a two-photographer setup, we can seamlessly cover both locations, ensuring no moment is missed.

If you’re planning a first look, we arrange this to happen in the second hour, allowing time for wedding party and family photos as well. We use the final part of our coverage to capture venue decor, guests arriving, and candid moments before the ceremony. This video will help you understand the timeline and how we prioritize each part of your day for a relaxed, enjoyable, and well-organized getting-ready session. Perfect for couples wanting to make the most of every moment from the start of their wedding day!
